This full color card was issued 98 years ago in the UK by Toby (Periodical) in 1926. This beautiful card is from from a set of 48 cards entitled "Dogs (1st Series # 1 - 24 and 2nd Series # 25 - 48) ". The card was was given as a free premium with the purchase of a magazine and was cut from a special insert. The front of the card shows a colored picture of the German Shepherd, drawn by the artist T. Fall , while the back of the card has a brief description of the breed (but not the issuers name hence it is described as anonymous). The card measures 2 5/8" x 1 3/8" or 65mm x 35mm. This is a very rare card and extremely difficult to find.
