Goodwin Dogs from 1890

full color card was issued 134 years ago by Goodwin & Co. This beautiful
card is from a set of 50 cards entitled "Dogs of the World".
The front of the card shows a colored artist drawn picture of the dog,
while the back of the card has advertising. It is made of thicker card
which was originally meant to be used as a "stiffener" to
prevent the cigarettes from being crushed. This card was given as a
free premium with the purchase of cigarettes. It is one of the FIRST
dog cards ever produced! The card measures 2 3/4" x 1 1/2"
or 70mm x 40mm. Reverse of this card has
glue stains.
