"Dogs (Full Length)" from Player 1931

Irish Terrier

This full color card was issued 93 years ago by John Player & Sons. Bright white background makes this card lovely to frame. This beautiful card is from a set of 50 cards entitled "Dogs (Full Length)" to put in an album that was available at the time. The card was given as a free premium and was inserted into a packet of Players cigarettes. The front of the card shows a picture of the Irish Terrier painted by the artist Arthur Wardle with his signature on the front, while the back of the card has a brief description of this breed. The card measures 2 5/8" x 1 3/8" or 65mm x 35mm.
