"Dogs of the World" from 1912

Maltese

This full color card was issued 112 years ago by Cope Bros. This beautiful card is from a set of 50 cards entitled "Dogs of the World" to put in an album that was available at the time. The card was given as a free premium and was inserted into a packet of cigarettes. The front of the card shows an artistic drawn picture of the Maltese by the famous artist Cecil Aldin, while the back of the card has a brief description of the breed. This is a very rare and difficult to find card. The card measures 2 5/8" x 1 3/8" or 65mm x 35mm.
