This full color card was issued 96 years ago by John Player & Sons. Bright white background makes this card lovely to frame. This beautiful card is from a set of 20 cards entitled "Dogs Second Series (Heads)- Large" to put in an album that was available at the time. The card was given as a free premium and was inserted into a packet of Players cigarettes. The front of the card shows a picture of the Skye Terrier painted by the artist Arthur Wardle with his signature on the front, while the back of the card has a brief description of this breed. The card measures 2 3/4" x 3 1/8" or 71mm x 80mm.
